Customer Service Representative

Amerifoods, a Chattanooga based foodservice distributor is looking for a professional, courteous, and dependable individual to work as a full time customer service associate/inside sales representative Monday through Friday.  Duties require providing courteous service to customers and sales staff in an accurate and timely manner.  Interacts with customers, receives and inputs orders into company’s order entry system as well as solicit customers (current and potential) for the sale of new, promotional, or additional items. Also, assist in company’s marketing functions. Fluent in Spanish is a plus.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Demonstrated computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills

• Contact targeted clients regarding existing and future opportunities
• Execute a telephone calling plan for an assigned contact base
• Maintain all required account information
• Provide support to outside sales team

• Plan and design marketing and promotional material
• Achieve sales goals
• Accurate order entry and strong attention to detail

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be required to handle/move product weighing up to 40 lbs.  The employee is required to be able to sit and stand as needed. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be in an open office environment and occasionally at customer locations. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
